All RO Systems are designed to have about a 4 to 1 ratio of waste water to pure water made. You can reduce that ratio down to about 2 to 1 by adding this kit. Membrane NOT included.

Add A Membrane to Your System All RO Systems are designed to have about a 4 to 1 ratio of waste water to pure water made. That waste water ratio is necessary in the process to clean the membrane off and keep it from getting clogged up. You can reduce the waste water down IF you want to reduce the life of the membrane. In fact you can make water with a RO membrane and not have ANY waste water, but it will clog the membrane quickly and it will be ruined. However you can reduce the waste water by about 25% by adding a second membrane to the system. Basically you use the waste water from the first membrane housing and feed into the second membrane housing which works if you have sufficient water pressure to the unit. We have many customers who do do this and it can be added to any of our systems. Complete hardware kit for adding a second membrane to your existing RO or RODI system: 1) standard membrane housing 1) a FF1100 flow restrictor, 1) set of dual clips, 2) 1/8 x 1/4 male elbows 1), 1/8 x 1/4 male elbow check valve product port, 3) Y's to split the filtered water in line, and 6 feet of tubing to re-join the pure water output lines and to join the waste water lines into one. The membrane is NOT included with this kit. You should have 60 PSI or more to get the best benefit out of this added membrane. If you do not have more than 60 PSI, you may need to add a booster pump to your unit. (The reason we include the FF1100 fasrt flush flow restrictor is because the Dual Membrane unit will produce more the 100 GPD.) |
