"We have purchased three of these systems over the last ten years...They "JUST WORK" I prefer to use the pump as it always makes the system better!"
"Very good water filter system for drinking water at home. Best part is the size of the system as it is small/compact and fits under our kitchen sink. Plus the customer service with this company is really good. They will answer any question quickly."
"Works great. Easy to install. Water tastes great. Great pressure at the faucet."
"The R.O. unit is the great! Nice water pressure is maintained. The reduction in water waste is fantastic. The unit arrived quickly as promised. I was able to contact then and speak to them personally about my questions and not have to deal with some customer service agency overseas. And the price is very competitive! I highly recommend Air, Water and Ice!"
"The installation instructions tell us that after installation is complete, the tank should be allowed to fill and is then ready for use. In reality, it took three tankfuls of water being purged before the residue from the filter preservatives and dust particles were washed away and the water could be used. It was only later, when reading the information on changing filters that I discovered that this could have been avoided by fast flushing the system before filling the tank the first time. This information should be included in the section titled "Installation Guide For the Installation Of Residential RO systems"."
"Directions were reasonably good, and installation quick. This unit is compact, so the unit and a disposal take up less than half the cabinet area under the sink."
"I purchased Max RO and can say it is the best value I could find on a home RO system. Very pleased with purchase. System was easier to setup than others I've had in the past. No leaks the first time! It was important to me to have the permeate pump to save on water useage. Being able to upgrade individual components is an advantage when buying from Air Water & Ice as well."
"I've bought this set up 2 different times. Makes the water taste better than bottled water. Had good pressure and the I've maker works fine."
"This system is a great little RO filter. This is my third purchase of of a RO filter and second purchase of this item from Air Water Ice. I moved recently and ended up leaving the old unit for the new owners so I bought another one for my new house. The first unit I bought was from Home Depot. It was ok and probably the water quality was the same but the hardware was cheap. Especially the faucet. The faucet included from AirWaterIce is solid metal and is sturdy. Once you install, it won't keep coming apart and needing to be tightened every couple of weeks. If you have good water pressure (50lbs or higher), you may be able to skip the MAX part and not buy the permeate pump to save $20. However, if you have low water pressure or are installing the storage tank more than a 6 feet from the faucet, you need the extra pressure from the pump."
"The way the system was already configured and tagged took all the guesswork out of getting it running. I had a bit of a leak accident at first - the little fitting somehow had fallen out of the filter "To RO Faucet" and I thought the tubing seemed too loose but I went ahead and put the tube in anyway. Once the system built up enough pressure the tubing popped off and we had some water mess. I pulled the right angle piece out of the filter and just plugged the tubing directly into the filter, and it's all good now. When I first started getting water out of the system I was getting TDS readings in the teens. Now that it's been about two weeks, I'm getting readings around 35 - 40. The incoming tap water TDS averages around 200. And it's not completely clear, but some sources say that RO systems don't filter out Chloramines - I ordered a test kit to check for Chloramines before I change anything in the RO system. I was planning to use the RO water for my freshwater fish tank, but I'm not going to for the moment until I can check the water or add whatever other filters I might need like a DI resin cartridge and/or catalytic carbon. If the ERP 500 is the "quieter" of the two permeate pumps, wow that 1000 must be pretty loud. We can hear the pump thumping under the sink, but it's not too bad. It's funny how when it's pumping the tubes jump around like a little heartbeat."
