NOTE! Please note that your system also has a RO membrane that is never included in any filter pack. The RO membrane is inside of the horizontal tube with the cap typically on the top side of your RO system. This RO membrane needs to be replaced every 2-5 years. The most common membrane for all of our drinking water systems is our 50 GPD 99% high rejection rate Dow Filmtec from Dupont.

The world measures water quality with a TDS meter. Not many things in life are as easy as a performing a tds test. A TDS test is the best way to tell if your membrane needs to be replaced. Fill a glass of water, insert the meter and press a button. If the membrane is not reducing the TDS by 90%... you need to replace the membrane... a new membrane gets 98-99% rejection rate. The LCD display on TDS meters will show a number. Excellent water for drinking is considered under 50 ppm tds. We get most people under 10 ppm TDS. For our RODI systems, we want ZERO tds.
