Booster Pump Power Station

Super charge your reefkeeping system. Drive the output quantity and water quality too new heights. The power station can supply .50 gpm. at 60 psi to your Reefkeeping reverse osmosis system. Every feature you will ever need is included.

Standard Features

City and well water pressure can be as low as 30 PSI. The ideal water pressure for an RO system is 60 to 65 PSI and thus increasing by increasing your PSI up to this level the more efficient the RO system will be.

So Super Charge your ReefKeeping system! Drive the output quantity and water quality too new heights with this booster pump. The power station can supply .5 GPM at 60 PSI to your reef-keeping reverse osmosis system.

Every feature you will ever need is included. You can use the power station to drive (35-150) gallon per day systems. We do not like to add the Booster Pump on to household pressure which already exceeds 50 PSI, as this is sufficient pressure to make water and the extra cost/work of adding a booster pump is not generally worth the effort.

You will not have to re-plumb your system. Simply connect the power station in the water supply line and connect your reefkeeper inlet to the power station. Connections are quick connecting. This is an "on-demand" system which shuts itself down once the desired PSI water pressure has been achieved.

You can be up and running in no time at all. We have connected and hooked up everything and supplied everything you need. This is a virtual plug & play system.

 Here is what you get:

1. In-line sediment filter that stops small dirt particles that could ruin your pump. (This prefilter is optional if you have good city water. )

2. In-line check valve prevents higher pressure water from backing up into your plumbing. This pump is a .5 GPM @ 60PSI quiet running booster pump. (Please limit pressure to 65 PSI). The pumps maximum capacity of 80 PSI must be reduced downward by a simple adjustment to the adjustable high pressure cut out switch. The allen wrench to make this adjustment is also included.

3. Our exclusive brass needle valve which is included is a flow control locking needle valve to balance your existing pressure with the boosted pump water pressure.

4. Low voltage transformer.

5. A 150 PSI water pressure gauge and a in-line ball valve is included.

Installation note: this pump has been set up to be placed in front of your RO unit; some folks have had better success by installing it AFTER the pre-filters and just before the water goes into the membrane; to do so it just takes a little tubing to install this way, as all of the fittings that come with this unit can be re-used for this configuration. The power station can easily pressure up any RO system to full operational operating pressure. Most RO systems can expect a 15 to 20 PSI boost in water pressure.

Install tip.

1. Hook up water to your pump from the house ...

2. Attach an inline ball valve in the tubing AFTER the PSI Gauge ...  Attach tubing after the Ball vave into a drain (NOT INTO A RO UNIT YET)

3. Now turn on house water ... Now close ball valve ... NOTE PSI pressure on the gauge ... This is your house PSI ...  We do not recommend adding this pump if your PSI is already over 50PSI as the cost benefit is not justified.

4. Now Open Ball valve ... Plug in the pump ... Pump should come on ... Now close Ball valve and pump should turn off ...

5. Wait 3 seconds after you close the ball valve then note the PSI pressure on the gauge ... This PSI Pressure should be no more than 15 to 20 PSI higher than your  HOUSE PSI.

6. To adjust the PSI up or down ... use Limit Switch  the allen wrench provided .... More PSI clockwise .... Less PSI counter clockwise. A small turn makes big difference.

7. DO NOT LEAVE TOO HIGH PSI ... an 75 or more PSI will overpower the RO Unit ... Waste water will run down drain even when not making water ...

8. Remember, this is not a variable volume pump ... it is either ON or OFF .. Turns ON when making water ... turns OFF when not making water.

9. Now hook up the pump to the RO Unit ...

10 FYI, the brass control valve is normally closed which is the screwed down position. Typically you will leave this alone unless your pump cycles on and off while making water ... then open just a bit to balance out the water untill the cycling stops. Occassionaly you will need to open this valve to help adjust the pressure in step 6.
